expectations...

I rarely announce that I have something profound to say, but on this particular instance, I think you should read on intently, to something I am very passionate about...

Over the years I have endured many things, failures and victories, tragedy and triumph, though I have only been around briefly (29 years). I have served and lead, and more importantly, by the grace of God, I have learned to lead, through serving. And through it all, I found One main commonality: "Jesus will never leave, nor forsake!"

People come and go, as do relationships of all sorts. There is only One constant, and that is Christ! I have toiled with placing expectations and criticisms on situations, circumstances, and people only to find that none of that matters. You see, if you put all your trust in things of this world, including people, you will be failed...because that is the nature of this world!

So what i want you to hear is this: JESUS IS ALL THAT MATTERS! He is everything! If we have Him, we are "complete, lacking nothing." If you are struggling because people or things are failing you...seek Him! If people have wronged you, seek Him. If people have lied to you, ripped you off, gossiped, or defiled you...seek Him.

I believe in relationship. I believe in investing in people and allowing them to invest back. However, that should NEVER take precedence to investing in Jesus, and letting Him have all of you, ALL of YOU!!!... It is easy to say, easy to sing, but dreadfully hard to live.
